I was born in 1987 so I’m not familiar with Sade being popular at all. I think I listened to my fathers "Sade's greatest hits" album when I was around 13 or so. I didn't even pronounce the name properly haha. Intrigued me from the start with the name. I don’t know what it is about the band but they are in my eyes (ears really) the perfect storm. I now own every album from Diamond Life to Soldier Of Love.
I started producing music when I was 10 years old and now 10 years later still am, and it’s my desire to produce material similar. A perfect blend of musical composition, with an attractive vocalists whose voice shines with every exhale, not to mention the songs are heartfelt with soul, style and, most of all unique, legendary, and tasteful.
When people ask me who my favorite band or artist is and I usually have two answers. My favorite female artist is Sade and male is Bob Marley. I can listen to these two everyday all day forever and be completely content. Although I enjoy vitually every kind of music, I'm mainly an R&B, Jazz, Blues type of guy. I’m not into mainstream bands because I feel they just plug in formula's and I don’t have much soul. Sade, being the queen of soul completly outshines all others. Personally every track Sade has ever made is flawless. There are even a few songs by Bob Marley I don’t like listening after awhile but, every time I hear Sade my ears are pleased.
Sade, the music you have produced is timeless. Masterpiece that talk about real life emotions that any generation and any culture will be able to relate with. Your music will stand the test of time and be classic always. I’m sure all of you would have had fun producing this material even if just for your own pleasure but still I thank you for your effort and I am pleased to say, I am a fan and have had the opportunity to listen. P.S. - Another album 10 years later?? I did not expect this at all, I accidentally found out about it late January 2010 and was shocked and oh so excited. Is she really releases another album!? After listening to it, It's obvious how much you have been through since Diamond Life. I'm am in awe... and speechless really.
I hear a lot of people saying they don't like it because it's too slow and not up beat. I'm not going to lie, when I first heard it I felt the same way, but that's all we did, hear it. We didn't listen. Your spirit is far more mature and I couldn't feel it at first. After listening to what you were truly saying It became clear, this is the best album yet. Of course each has it's own personality and place, your music is aging like wine and it's so beautiful. I am beyond impressed.
